Consider Marymount College, unique among American institutions of higher education! Marymount is a small college, just 750 students, enrolling students from 26 states and over 40 countries. A private institution, Marymount is the only Catholic, co-educational, two-year college in California dedicated to building the foundation for the four-year degree. The vast majority of students who complete their two years at Marymount go on to earn their Bachelor degrees with just two more years at the college or university of their choice. While our location, high upon a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, provides you with a great view, it is the perspective you'll have on your intellectual and personal growth that is the real advantage of a Marymount education.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Students spend the first two years of their studies focusing on the general education subjects required for most bachelor degrees. They also begin taking subjects that build the foundation of their specific majors. It is exactly these subjects that form the Marymount curriculum and our innovative 2+2 program. Even if you haven't firmly decided upon a major, Marymount's 2+2 program can help you navigate your course.

With the guidance of individual academic advisors, students investigate and select a major and then develop a "Two-Year Plan" of study on which they build their bachelor degree with just two additional years at a four-year university. The "Two-Year Plan" is more than just the basics; it prepares you with skills that will last a lifetime. Students develop study habits, decision-making, and testing and time management strategies that help them succeed in the second two years of university and throughout life.
